How To Play Washer Toss:

• Space boxes 21 feet apart. (official distance)
• Games play up to 21. (any number will do)
• Select your colour of washers.



• Decide what person or team goes first.
• When tossing you must start behind the box and can only take one step past.
• Toss both washers the same colour, then have your opponent toss both of their washers.
• If you are playing singles, walk to the other box and count the points. If you are playing partners, have them count the points at that end. (partners - one at each box)
• The person or team that scores points will toss first next.



• If no points are scored, the person or team that just shot last will now shoot first. (you lose the hammer)
• The person or team to get to 21 first is the winner.
• To make the game easier, add sand or water in the box part only.

SCORING



Points are counted as follows. One point for having a washer in the box and three points for having a washer in the middle cylinder. Your washers in the box can be cancelled by other teams washers in the box (ie. If you score 2 washers in the box and your opponent scores 1 washer in the box, then you score 1 point). A washer in the cylinder has to be cancelled by an opponents washer in the cylinder (ie. If you score 1 washer in the cylinder and your opponent scores 1 washer in the box, then you get 3 points for the washer in the cylinder and your opponent gets 0 points for in the box).
It is recommended that you do not play Washer-Toss in temperatures below 10°C (50°F). Enjoy your Washer-Toss game!
